We did manage to get a few sleepy shots of the little cutie pie in the beginning …

And then he woke …

And let me know that he did not want to pose anymore. 

So we rolled with it.  And I had such a great time with this family. 

Q. fam, thank you so much for having me!  Hunter is just as handsome and perfect as can be, and I so enjoyed the time I got to spend with you all!

Awww, newborn sessions.  Sweet tiny toes and fingers, dreamy baby sighs, and lots of cuddling close and rocking to sleep.

And the loving sounds of your fur-brothers, Charlie and Gus, playing serenely downstairs.

I know I say it all the time, but I adore the families I get to work with, and Logan’s family is no exception. I had so much fun with them, and Logan is simply the sweetest little bubs, with perfect chubby features and a full head of gorgeous hair.

Logan was in and out of sleep during our session … I think he was really excited and interested in all that was going on, LOL.

So when Mommy took him to give him a good feeding, I couldn’t help but snap some shots of his awesome room. So many fun details, inlcuding super cool chalkboard wall … during his mom’s shower, her family all wrote sweet messages to Logan in his room; how neat is that? (It’s no surprise, since Mom is a pretty crafty gal herself … I kind of want to get married again so I can use some of the goodies in her etsy shop, found HERE, LOL!)

H. family, thank you so much for having me capture this time for you all!  I had a blast, and you all couldn’t have been more welcoming and fun to work with! 

How much I laughed with this family.
How many times I realized my fly was down.
The lack of times anyone told me my fly was down.
The amount of envy I have for red heads.
The amount of envy I have for people with photo-cooperative red headed (or any-headed) children.
How I A.D.O.R.E. grandparent/grandkid shots.
How much FUN FUN FUN I had at this session.

But I couldn’t narrow down favorite images from this session, so I will just leave the images to speak for themselves.  We had two grandparents, with three grown-up kids, who had three spouses, and four grandkids between them all.  It was a busy moving session and I loved every minute of it. 

Thank you G. family, I had a blast with you all!

First up is Jonathan!   The little sweet pea melted my heart … all 5.5 pounds of him!  I was in awe of his perfect teeny tiny features, and the sweet expressions he made throughout our time together.  Jonathan might just hold the record for my bittiest babe photographed to date, but he certainly had the attentiveness and curiosity of a boy much older!  He was not interested in sleeping at all … just wanted to look around and take in everything that was going on.  I loved getting to snuggle him and watch him take everything in!

Oh, look!  I am yawning and about to zonk out …

We did manage to coax him into a few little zzzzzzzs.

Little Landon was just shy of his first birthday when we met up.  He is simply adorable, and wavered back and forth between wanting to ham it up for the camera or don his GQ serious face.    I think he was most comfortable with mom and dad close by, which I love as those make for my favorite family shots.

C. family, it was a blast getting to work with you and little Landon.  Thank you for letting me capture this special time for you guys!

K. family, thank you for having me!  Donovan is perfect in every way, and I loved getting meet and snuggle him. 

Kelly is the amazing photographer behind True Bliss Photography.  Her wedding work knocks my socks off.  I was honored when she asked me to photograph her family … and nervous too!

In brief:
I adore Kelly.
I adore her family, that reminds me so much of my own.
I adored photographing them.

And most importantly, it was so obvious that they adore each other.
