Meet little Reese and her family. This sweet peanut is a just over three months old, and greeted me with huge adorable-gummy-milk-dripping-down-the-chin grins right when I entered the door. I went quickly to set up for her photos, anxious to play with her and get some fun shots. Reese watched me curiously from mommy’s lap, flashing many of those smiles when I looked her way. I joked with her mom that hopefully she would save some of them for the photos.
Well …. Hmmm… When I held that camera up to my face, I might as well have been holding up a sign that said “No more 2 am feedings for you!” Reese did not love being in front of the camera, and she let us know it. Honestly, I had to try SO hard not to giggle at her refusals to entertain us with this photo taking business. And how could you not “awww” at that post-crying sniffle and deep breath?! I’ve got one of her kind myself … much cozier in mom’s or dad’s arms than with strangers, let alone strangers with weird black boxes in front of their faces making “WEEEEE!!!” sounds. I mean, how creeptastic can you really be?
So, I tricked her. I let mommy and daddy give her snuggles while I pretended not to be holding that evil black box in front of my face. And I have to say, that I love what we came away with.
And then this little angel zonked out. I think she secretly was hoping for more of a newborn session, because Reese rocked the sleepy poses like a super model. And hellllllooooo smooshy lips! 🙂
I had a blast with you all, R. family! Can’t wait to show you the rest from our session!
