I don’t know that I would have been a great sister to a … sister. I’m not girly. I can’t paint my own toes without getting stained cuticles, pink looks really bad on me, and I have burn marks all over my neck from failed flat iron attempts. So I was given a little brother to torture. We played He-Man and quizzed each other on Thundercats while falling asleep.
And yet.
I wonder what it would have been like to have a girly comrade. Some one to steal clothes from, to talk cute boys with, to play hair with, to tell secrets to, to giggle with; someone with whom to fight over the curling iron. A sister.
Hannah and Gracie are sisters; giggling, secret telling, curling iron sharing sisters in every sense of the word. I had a fantastic time with them. It almost made me wish I had traded in my little brother when my mom sat me down with the Sears catalog and told me to pick a new brother from the toddler section, since mine annoyed me so much. I relented and kept him. He owes me.
Hannah and Gracie, thanks for such a fun session … you girls are gorgeous, inside and out. I had a wonderful time with you both, and here’s to a Hunger Games movie release date SOON. 😉
I love when 2 second “oops” photos turn out to be my favorite. <3
Wishing you a weekend that looks a lot like the above. 🙂
