Snaps From Our 4th

I am so excited about some sessions I have coming up – engagements and families and babies, oh my! In the meantime I thought I would share some photos from our 4th of July, spent at my parents home.

We had so much fun eating, playing in the pool, eating, playing ball, eating, and also eating. And did I mention eating?

Nathan is a little fish; he loves playing in the water.

Grace was loving the pool too. Grace is having a lovely summer, indeed: a concussion within the first few days of school letting out, and today she ripped her chip open on a pool deck. And yes, mama has a set of tonsils and she’s not afraid to use them. Just ask the neighbors.

We taught the children how to gamble.

My mom saw an article about painted cows in New York, commemorating Independence Day, and thought it would be fun to paint our own. Yes, many sideways glances were exchanged when she broke out the paper mache cows and paint. But we obliged her crazy, possibly senile fun idea.

Don’t worry, we did not allow the children to dip their paintbrushes in Grandma’s margarita.

Nathan was so proud!

We weren’t able to get out to see the fireworks this year, but this man makes fireworks in my heart all year long! … Okay, that was SO lame, but I take pictures, I don’t work for Hallmark alright?!

And we knew it was time to head home, when we saw these …

Hope you all had a very fun and safe 4th of July!

If you can't reach the neighbors to confirm you could always ask the swim teacher! How is miss Grace? Did she get stitches?

Oh Christie, these pictures are amazing! What lens are you using that has the entire focus coming out so sharp and clean? Is my little 2.8 ap making all my photos look the same (focus on one eyeball at a time??)

Happy 4th to you guys too – love the pruney toes.
