Well, that was a nice long blog break (OOOPS) … I seriously cannot look at my son running into the ocean any longer, so let’s continue shall we?
When I book a session with a client, I send out a little questionnaire so I can get the basics from them: names, address, phone number, pin numbers, shoe sizes, who they voted for on American Idol, and do they like hamsters? (I do.) I also ask for the parents to give me a little blurb about their kiddos, so I can go into the session prepared.
I knew when this mom sent back the questionnaire, that I was going to love this family. Not only did I get some tips on their favorite things (ummm, hello? Airbending? We are HUGE Aang fans), but when I read what she wanted out of the session, my heart about burst with excitement:
… our family is THE MOST important thing in our lives and I want that captured forever; for when we are old and wrinkly and our kids are adults.
I can’t really picture mom and dad old and wrinkly (they are that gorgeous), but I really hope I captured the almost tangible love that this family has for one another. Watching them play and snuggle and tickle with each other was a privilege, and I feel so lucky that they picked little ol’ me (who is already wrinkly, by the way) to photograph this time for them.
M. family, thank you so much for a wonderful session, your gallery will be ready soon!
P.S. E … remember how I said my dad looks kind of like King Bumi? Here ya go … MY DAD. ;)
